Ni$$as in Paris

Kanye West, designer debut was both a success and a failure. Done the right way was his ability to market himself to the fashion community and draw the attention of notavble designers including DSquared2's Dean and Dan Caten, Olivier Theyskens, Jeremy Scott, and the Olsen twins seated front row. He also had the right personnel strutting the runway, shout out to Chanel Iman, Izabel Goulart, Kloss, and Anja Rubik. He had far reaching concepts that pushed the envelope in terms of creativity in women's wear. What he scored low on was execution as many of the clothes were ill fitting even on the stature of models. The "Ye" collection did not seem altogether cohesive having a sparse color scheme, and lacking wearbility with jersey shore style plunged necklines. The highlight for me was definitely his play on texture and of course I'm a sucker for shoes so I did enjoy the furry stilettos! Overall my grade is a B- with aspirations for next year and hopefully Ye adding some skilled designers to edit his vision.

H&M in review

This is one of my favorite pieces from the Conscious Collection.

Do your self a favor and trot yourself right on down to the nearest H&M to get a piece from their conscious collection. The looks are clean and finished plays on white. Worn casual or dressy my fav pieces include the euro white blazer for the gents and the ultra cute twiggy hemline mini dress for the femininas. Happy Shopping!
