Floral Frenzy!

Styled Four You: TrendReport
Springtime represents for me the beginning of all things growing and new. Create a look, that is an ode to spring by strolling through your closet or favorite shop, for a floral arrangement. Floral print, will be pasted in abundance on almost everything you can imagine, wearing. Embrace the freedom of this season,  be fun and flirty with your choice of silhouettes, whether your choice is a midi verses a-line skirt, trousers vs. denim, dress or jumper. Do not be cautious about mixing and matching your tops and bottoms, conduct experiments with print, color, and texture.

Pining for Spring

Yesterday, it felt like springtime, my favorite season, the birds were chirping the sun was shining and all the winter gloom seemed to have disappeared. Although the current forecast says this spring fever is temporary, I couldn't wait to celebrate in style with some of my favorite trends of this season. Pastels, deconstructed denim and metallics will help you emulate some of the amazing looks promoted by the likes of MSGM, House of Holland, and Opening Ceremony. Although it was brief, spring fever infected my style sensibilities, if only for day.

I love to hear your feedback!!

Don't be shy, if you like what you see or read on Styled For You, I always want to hear back from my subscribers and supporters. On that note, I wanted to send a special thank you to my long time friend Angel, who I offer style advice to from time to time. Just recently, I helped her style her vacation to Trinidad, and she took my advice, regarding the current trend of pairing an athletic sneaker with matching coordinates to create the ultimate sporty chic ensemble. Let's record this one as winner for our Stylefile, you look fab, Angel!!

The New Age Girl...ready,set, go!!

Styled For You, Trend Report:

Crop tops and midi skirts make a great combo, so you'll probably see them everywhere this spring and summer. The trick to sporting this look, begins by paging through your favorite fitness magazine, to find a pair of retro running shoes or trainers, for effortless comfort, while remaining sporty and chic.
If you're not one for sport, take a trip down a different fashion lane. Finish with a sleek heel instead, accessorize with a statement necklace, adding in  a pop of color, and this look will earn you, first place.

Happy Birthday to ME!

Its my new year and bornday, I am eager with the delight of things yet to come and muddled in thought always, with a laundry list of things I've yet accomplished. With old man witner still holding strong its been difficult to feel zealous about getting photographs done, but I managed to get out in the rain with my husband just before the snow fell over the city. The backdrop is the little town, I live in just outside DC, called Bentwood MD. Brentwood , MD is quite quaint and deeply rooted in black cultural history, its the home of the new African American History Museum. It is also quite the little arts district housing many studios for sculptors, painters and musicians.
