Dubbed the "Yellow Boot" by Timberland, this iconic shoe has been around for over 40 years. It has also been called by many in pop culture "construction tims "or just "Tims." However you identify the boot, it has a long rich history, but for me it is has been a staple in street style, since forever. I can remember seeing old pictures of my uncles and his friends sporting these to the club with denim and Coogi sweaters, in the 90's. My granddad, a carpenter by trade, wore them to work. I wore them as a child and even now in my adulthood, not only because they are a timeless classic but because they remind me of a time, in fashion history, when urban sub-culture was merged with high fashion. It appears the saying is true, "fashion repeats itself" because again these shoes are considered trendy and are being worn with high end designers, like Givenchy. Many artists are using them as a canvas for expressing ideas. Undoubtedly, no matter your distinction, Timberland's mantra for these boots ring true, "HARD WORK AND DEDICATION ARE INGRAINED INTO NOT ONLY OUR ORIGINAL YELLOW BOOT, BUT INTO EVERY TIMBERLAND® PRODUCT."

I would like to dedicate this post to all the women who struggle with body image. Do not let anyone have power over you. You are beautiful inside and out and no one, can take away the beauty that GOD himself created. "Fashion is confidence not acceptance, styling is an art form, endorse your own creativity." -Lloyd Enoch-Longshore

Look to blue in any shade, to be your go to color, for the remainder of winter and into spring. You can go full blue or just add a hint to your ensemble. I love my blue suede shoes, they are perfect for tapping into this trend.
