Stocking Your Winter Arsenal

Well, if you are on the east coast than you are fully aware that winter has arrived. Now the question remains to ask is, if you are ready, and I'm not referring to stockpiles of salt and canned goods. What I'm talking about when I say a winter arsenal, is your coats, woolens, tweeds, calfskin's etc. Those warm and cozy things that keep you safe from the perils of old man winter. For me, I try to collect or shop these items just as they are needed, seasonally. Winter accessories for certain don,t perform like your spring scarf collection, in that they aren't something you can wear year round. Therefor you should build first on necessity, then use your personal style measures to determine if it belongs aesthetically. Big scarves, like the one I'm pictured wearing is the trending accessory of the year for men and women, along with cute animal inspired hats, which I'll be posting about soon. Because they are ginormous, you can wear them like a poncho, or traditionally the way you would a normal sized scarf. If you need instructions visit YouTube and search "styling my big scarf" and I'm sure you'll find more than what you need to pull off this amazing winter wonderful look.

The Editor and Writer

Graphic prints and bold colors work well together and the same goes for me and my husband. We have many things in common but one of the many passions that we share is, fashion. I find that having a shared love for each other isn't always enough, to keep both parties sane and sustained within a marriage. It takes two for sure but sometimes you need that extra something to remind you why you love your significant other. For us fashion is our common denominator, if ever we are mad at one another or even walking different paths, fashion is one of the topics that hones us both in and back to one accord. We have endless conversations about what we are wearing, wishlist and the latest trends. In fact I use my husband as muse often to explore my stylist dreams and experiment with visions I have for a client. He also gives me sound honest advice when my mind clutters of all things that glitter.  I guess he is the Editor and I'm the Writer, together we aren't too bad as a team.

Russian Roulette

Sometimes while shopping, you find something that you like but its maybe a little out of your comfort zone. Trying something new isn't always easy, because if nothing else, you want a certain level of comfort, in what you are wearing. However, every now and again,  you have to trust your instincts, as what may seem like a gamble, may indeed be a sure thing. So be confident, be bold, and be dangerous in style.

Sister's in The City

ON DA HANGER:
Me: h&M HAREM PANT, Ms. bb, lace top, sandals forever 21 via rugged wearhouse, purse betsey Johnson via karmaloop
Nicole: romper, sandals via Zara, Ms. BB earrings necklace thrifted
Originally I was going to right a post on the SANTC movie but today for some reason I'm feeling a bit sentimental and wanted to express my gratitude for the gift of sisterhood. The movie reminded me whether you have a sibling, bff, or sorer sisterhood is the gift that keeps on giving providing unconditional support and love no matter the circumstance. Having a sister is not just a trend, it is knowing you can always turn to her, your best friend, in any time of need. As the older sibling I try to share everything with my sister Nicole; my clothes, style, life experiences, hopes, dreams and even my failures and shortcomings. A sister is a companion like no other so no matter what kind of relationship you have embrace the ones you love and leave your differences behind for another day. Hooray for sisterhood...Love ya Nicole!
